Late and very late thrombosis of drug-eluting stents

The development of endovascular intervention in patients with coronary heart disease made it possible to solve many problems. Since the beginning of the era of drug eluting stents, the incidence of restenosis has significantly decreased. However, prospective studies have reported late and very late thrombosis of drug-eluting stents. This article examines late and very late stent thrombosis and compares stents with different antiproliferative coatings.
