Abstract

2000 specialists in the field of atherosclerosis
from 65 countries gathered at the 78th Congress of the European Society of Atherosclerosis, which was held
in picturesque Hamburg. The program was rich and covered all the latest achievements
in the field of molecular genetic research
atherosclerosis, early detection of the disease
with the use of modern diagnostic
equipment and, according to the president of the congress,
Professor Ulrike Beisiegel, "effective therapeutic possibilities for the prevention of atherosclerosis and its complications"
