Atherosclerosis 2013: prevention, diagnostics and treatment Annual Collaborative meeting 2013 of Italian and Russian Society of Atherosclerosis (under the auspices of European Society of Atherosclerosis)

Abstract

On March 2-3, 2013 in Rome, Italy, a joint meeting of Russian experts in the field of diagnosis and treatment of atherosclerosis and experts of the Italian Society of Atherosclerosis (IRA) took place. The meeting was held under the auspices of the Russian Cardiological Society (RSC), the National Society of Atherosclerosis (NOA), as well as the European Society of Atherosclerosis (EAS) under the chairmanship of the President of the EAS Professor A. Katapano and the President of the RSC, Academician of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences E.V. Shlyakhto. On the Russian side, the meeting was attended by the President of the NOA, Professor Yu.A. Karpov, academician of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences R.G. Oganov, professor S.A. Boytsov, MD I.V. Sergienko. The purpose of the meeting was to further strengthen long-term relations and build mutually beneficial cooperation between RSC, NOA, IOA and EOA on the path of integration of Russian and European science.
