Review on the article «Atherosclerosis. Understanding and Solutions Finding» by V.S. Hazov

Abstract

The article is of the nature of a review, in which the concept of clinical and anatomical comparisons, which dominates in medicine, in explaining the etiology and pathogenesis of the main non-communicable diseases, is critically assessed. It is opposed to the method of functional systems of academician Anokhin P.K., developed in the mid-70s of the last century and explaining the variety of existing pathologies by a violation of the integral system of the body. This concept is based on the priority of function in the formation of the structure, and the central nervous system plays the leading role in this interaction.
