Statin intolerance

Abstract

Treatment dyslipidemia with statines induces muscle pain in some cases. It may be a reason for statin intolerance (SI), non complains to hypolipidemic therapy. Statin- associated muscle pain is well known symptom, but there is discrepancy in incidence of SI in clinical trials and observational studies. Muscle pain is a reason for statin intolerance (SI) and non complains to hypolipidemic therapy. Statin intolerance leads to natural history of atherosclerosis in patient with SI, if therapy was not changed, and affects prognosis. Overview of last papers on problem of SI is presented.
