Abstract

Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) remain the leading cause of death in the Russian Federation (RF). According to Rosstat, in 2016, the death rate from CVD was 615 per 100,000 population, and the absolute losses were about 900,000 people. Prevention is defined as a coordinated system of action at the population and individual level, aimed at eliminating or minimizing the incidence of CVD and associated disability.
