Abstract

27–28 May 2016 in Innsbruck (Austria) held Satellite Symposium of the 84th Congress of the European Atherosclerosis Society, dedicated to the problems of the study of lipoprotein (a) [Lp (a)]. This symposium was organized for the first time and gathered a large number of experts, many years working in this field. Lp (a) has been studied for more than 50 years due to the high regard with atherosclerosis and cardiovascular diseases, in the absence of clarity in the understanding of the physiological role of these particles
