Abstract

According to modern recommendations, the appointment of lipid-lowering drugs serves as an integral element of modern prevention and therapy of cardiovascular diseases of atherosclerotic genesis. GI polypidemic agents include statins, fibroic acid derivatives, bile acid sequestrants, intestinal cholesterol absorption inhibitor ezetimibe, nicotinic acid preparations
acids, omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids. Statins are superior to all other drugs in terms of their hypolipidemic effect. Good tolerability combined with high efficacy makes them the drugs of choice currently for the treatment of dyslipidemia
